I've had 5 Clio's - 1.4, 2xWilliams, ph2 172 and a Trophy. Also had a Megane R26. Not owned a Renault for about 2 years. My first Williams and Trophy I owned for about 3 years each - the others were relatively quick turnovers.
Had a Clio 172 Cup for 3 years and mostly used it for trackdays. Loved everything about it except it's speed, could have done with more power, would have another one day if there was room on the drive. Currently have a Westfield for the track and summer motoring and Audi A3 Quattro as the family car.
Carwise, everyone moves on depending on their circumstances.
Had a Iceberg Silver 172 years ago, always loved the Renaultsport products and have a interest in them, yet i'am driving a Vauxhall now lol, after having a Mk6 & Mk7 Fiesta ST, Astra VXR and now my current Corsa VXR.
This forum is one of the main reasons i come on daily
I'm only on my first car which is a 1.2 dyamique from a scrap yard but I love it regardless and I'm looking at getting a 182/172 in October when i get my first years no claims
I owned my first RS Clio (172 Cup HT53 HRM) in 2008, and reluctantly sold it in 2012 as we were planning to start a family and bought a Mk4 Golf GT TDi PD130 . Spent the next 4/5 years grieving from my french loss, but enjoyed the German build quality, upgraded the Golf to an Audi A4 (B6) 1.9 TDi PD130 Quattro Sport Avant in 2015. Both were/are mapped to 170bhp/280lbft and the A4 has B6 S4 brakes front and rear too.
But couldn't take it any longer and bought a Monaco 172 last October as a 2nd car/fun-mobile/track day wagon! Very glad to be back!
If I could afford to though, I want to buy another Peugeot 106 Rallye S1 in Bianca White as I loved mine sooo much (M587 HAC), but selling it allowed me to buy the Cup.
