First car was a 1.2 8v Clio Campus (2007 reg) which I repd. For about 4 years.
Then had a 1.6 Megane World Series (2011 reg). For about 4 years.
Then a Megane 250 cup (2010 reg). For about 6-7 months.
And now I'm back in a Clio, although a 200 cup (2011 reg). Which I've had since December.

My first Renault was an Iceberg 172 which I bought new in 2003. Then I bought a LY 182 new in 2005. Kept that for 5yrs.
Then needed something bigger but economical so bought a 3yr old Mondeo ST TDCI.
Some nice chap wrote that off for me. That was in 2014.
So I treated myself to an AMG C Class. Which I still have.

I've moved on, but not by choice. I unfortunately wrote my Supercharged Trophy off last year (which was my third Clio Sport)

I took it as an opportunity to purchase a car I've always wanted to own.

However as I'm sure we can all agree Clio's at least in sport guise, are truly incredible little cars and I will definitely own another!

I'm 30, but usually get mistaken for being younger or frowned upon when judges or the police pull into the work car park the same time as me. Speak to me in a stereotypical way, or sometimes not at all.

A lowered small hatchback with a stainless exhaust note and Recaros, sometimes theres a time and a place lol.

On the other hand... I f**king love this car and owned it 3 and a half years now

I was going to buy a 182 in 2005 but bought a 225 instead. Had an itch for a 182 ever since though and finally scratched it last year. Now we have 05 and 15 reg black Clio's sat on the drive!

I've had 5 and I'm 27... Use my PH1 daily 20k miles a year. Sometimes I do pull into the office car park and think "I should get something proper"
Tends to get forgotten when drive it home at the end of the day.

I've owned my Ph1 172 since 2004. I think about changing it quite often so I can have something which is turbocharged and I can get more power. I can't change it as the Clio is what it is: it's cheap to fix (if you do most of it yourself and comparing the parts prices to say a Megane), it gets close to or sometimes over 40 mpg, it isn't just another run of mill/keeping up with the Jones' Fiesta/BMW/Golf, and it is sort of quick, well not that quick, hence I also own an Impreza and wish I had an Evo...

4 x ph1's (2 x iceberg, 1 x black & 1 sunflower)
1 x 1.5dci
2 x V6 255's (acid & illiad)

Currently have Mk5 GTI, 520d E61 & the V6 for the weekends.

Bought it when I was 29 - now I'm 42. Still used as my daily with north of 140k on the clock.

Makes me laugh when non-Renault owners follow the stereotype and call them all 'French crap'. :tongueout:
