who's cup has passd 2nd MOT?

Car  Golf MK7,GSX-R600 L4
Got mine comming up and again worried about the back brakes issue. got a print out of the VOSA thing aswell, just want to know who's cups have went throught the 2nd MOT without any problems....

You talking 182 or 172? As mine went through no probs, left a print out of that VOSA guide on the passenger seat just in case, but it wasnt even mentioned.

Mine was a complete nightmare even with the VOSA document, had to fax a letter over to VOSA who (Luckily enough it was the bloke who wrote that article so knew 100% what it was) called me back, they spoke to the garage - explained the situation then they passed my car!

No sorry, not even the fax number. :( I just called VOSA and asked for a fax number, faxed some stuff over to them, next day they called (around 9am) they phoned garage, phoned me back and told me to re-book! VOSA were really helpful. :)

Doubt you'll need it, the garage were being a complete arse to be honest. If you can take it to a Renault Specialist.. thats where i went wrong.

Rear brake failed mine. Lobbed some new pads and a new disc on.

IIRC markcups done 93000 on the same rear pads and discs and the guy does lots of trackdays!!! hoping i dont have to change mine after only 34,000 miles.....

my 172 cup passed its 2nd m.o.t in dec , did have a few pointers though regarding rear brakes efficiency though .

Same here, passed 2nd MOT in December. They mentioned low efficency on the rear brakes both times but passed it. I also leave the VOSA document on the passenger seat in case.

My cup passed it's 2nd MOT back in October...passed fine but did make sure I had a print out of the VOSA document to show them!

Iv just got new brakes for the back of my cup after 43,000 miles... The one worry iv had about my cup is the quality of the brakes, they dont seem that good IMO!

Mine failed its first MOT on the rear brakes...I mentioned the VOSA thing to them...and he said, its the fact that your brakes are barely working...swap the pads and you'll be right. Did that and no worries.

Car had done 58K at the time though.

Mine passed it's 2nd MOT no probs, my mot guy knows all about the low rear braking force issue, although I've just had to replace the rear brakes because they were seizing through lack of use lol (I'm on 25k at the mo)
The mechanic in my garage told me to gently apply the handbrake whilst moving at 40-45 mph for a few seconds once a week. He said this will keep them in better condition.

got it back today ...... and it passed no worries!!! £40, bargain i'd say. I did put some new goodyear eagle f1s on the back before it went in. They must have adjusted the tyre pressures cos the handling is amazing now, forgot how good it can be!

Would anyone be kind enough to send me the VOSA document regarding the back brake issue if you have it to hand.

Thanks in regards
