Our project car has them we are pleased, its more about not having to replace them again than any huge performance gains but yes they compliment uprated suspension nicely
How much? I've done the dog bone mounts but am still getting the knocking noise I was hoping to cure and also now get a nasty vibrating noise when accelerating hard. What would you suggest replacing next, I have std suspension BTW, will this make a harsher ride??
Decisions, decisions....how much for the engine mounts (is there just 2 of them)?? I know it's not the roll bar bushes making the noise so will leave them for the time being.
powerflex is crap, the polyurathane they use is almost like plastic, superpro/superflex are the stuff you want to go for, it lasts alot longer, and gives the same qualitys as normal suspension rubbers.
I know superpro are producing prototype sports bushes fore the 172 as they are going on mine!
Im not sure where to get hold of superflex, i'll ask and let you know.
i have the powerflex bushes all round on mine, have been on for around 2 years now, had to replace the whole of the front due to faliure, ie worn or spilt. con in my eyes. should have stayed with the oe stuff.
right well the phone no. is 01823 698437 ask for super pro, as far as i know they do them for the early clio's but the i havent been updated on the 172/182 ones, so they may still be in development, give them a ring.
Ive got them on my valver, i fitted bushes, spax addjustables and a upper strutbrace, and alltoghether im well happy with the results, everything feels so tight upfront, only problem is i dont know which of the above did what as they where all done at the same time!
