In the process of getting my Escort restored due to rust suprise suprise and when hunting for parts got talking to a guy who has a mint XR3i. He said the last owner had waxoyl'd it till it was dripping out the chassis legs!
Certainly worked for him as the car was totally minted even tho it was 20 odd year old with all original panels and never been welded in its life
