I wouldn't. I'd always have that nagging feeling thats it's been driven by someone that doesn't give a sh*t how badly they treat the car/engine.

Wouldn't bother me I'd have new keys made up and get a private plate on it though just incase a third set of keys have been made.

Do you think the thiefs drove around waiting for the engine to warm up properly before thrashing the living sh*t out of it?

had all locks replaced by a renault dealer, think it would make me a little paranoid about the car, its a 53 plate maz, seen it at newcastle mate

yeah i'd buy it, i'd haggle the price down more though

I've seen owners drive cars like this ever day being driven like this once isn't going to kill it.

Of course.

How do you really know your car's history anyway!

So it's been thrashed once, mine has hundreds of times and it puts out enough bhp still....

When it was stolen it was probably given a rest from continually being thrashed by its owner.

Id offer 5.5k and yes i would buy it.

I would find out how much it would cost for the locks changed again and try and knock them down to cover this cost just to put your mind at rest .. and like said its no big deal if you are going to hang onto it for a bit .. :D
