I just tried a few of the screws in the holes and they are a perfect fit, despite the instruction manual saying they are not suitable????
Can anyone elaborate on this? Excuse the title it is supposed to say NOT suitable...
Re: Why are the current cup splitter holes suitable to screw the new K-tech screws in
Eh?
Depends on size of screws compared to the standard set, and how they were removed. At a guess if they've been used a few times you risk the screws pulling out of the bumper and you losing the splitter.
Re: Why are the current cup splitter holes suitable to screw the new K-tech screws in
Sorry guys this was a last minute rushed post prior to me running through the door. I have a CF K-tec splitter to fit so I removed the old one a week or so ago and up recieving my splitter today I checked it over, read the instructions and they read the original holes in the bumper are not suitable for the K-tec splitter phillips screws, out of curiosity I attempted to screw one or two screws into the existing holes in the bumper and they fit perfectly.. So I was wondering what is the reason behind the k-tec screws not being suitable for the original holes???

The instructions do not say to drill through both splitter and bumper at the same time anyway.
This is my argument, it states to use a 4mm drill piece on the splitter then a 2mm drill piece on the bumper.
