Why Don't more people RAT there clio's?

  Astra SRI/ Hornet
Its not is it. If my cars a heap of s**t then its a heap of s**t I don't need an excue to drive it.

Its a laugh, a bit of fun, something to do for a hobby. Something some people on this forum would do well to realise. Not all of us want to polish our cars using moose cum on a drying towel and complain about the cost of petrol.

Some of us like enjoying all aspects of car ownership and driving.

I enjoy all aspects of driving and car ownership but the rat look thing is just stupid on so many levels.

The very first pic is a really bad photoshop, haha.

With regards to the "Rat" look, each to their own, I suppose. I think that it can look good on a Mk.1 Clio, but don't think it suits the newer Clios. But if someone wants their car to look like it, then fine!

  1.2 y0!
my bad for the photoshop lol :rasp: didn't think there'd be this much controvesy over such a random post! haha, good to mix it up a bit i suppose!

Driving a small French hatchback isn't the best start off to enjoyable car ownership as it is so making it look even worst is beyond me. On a plus note ratrods are cool as f**k!

Where you been living for the past 20 years?

Small french hatchbacks have always been known for being good drivers cars (205, 306, clios, saxo, 106 etc)

Regarding rat look, i think it can look good on the right car. That 306 estate thats always at the shows lives near me, i quite like that.

I believe a car says alot about the person driving it. Doesnt say alot for the people driving rat look cars lol.

I can see that it would be a bit of fun if the car was already fu*ked and you had anutha for work amd such. Imagine turning up in one of the above for a interview!

Ratting is cool imo, some losers just dont understand it.

what you dont understand is the point of the look. making a car 'rat' defeats the object. ultimate rat cars are old cars that have served a purpose and had hundreds of thousands of miles on like an old faithful workhorse. i see people slating rep wheels etc on here all the time so surely making your cars bodywork rust on purpose is fake and the same as having rep tuning parts? no.

Hazza's car before he had the granny wagon that I did a while back.

But purposely making a car ratlook defeats the object of it. Ironic.

since wen do plastic wings rust lol :)

I don't get it tbh it's basically de-valueing your own car and vandalising it. They look like they've been pulled out of a canal.

Well its a good job I don't just own small french hatchbacks isn't it. (Although I think you're forgetting the CLio williams was voted THE best FWDhot hatch of all time?? And the 205 pissed over the Golf Gti.... But yeah, whatever.)
