Why is my ipod so quiet?

Got a new nano last year, and its never been lound enough. I have turned up the voume limit. Im using stock white apple earphones.

Anything i can do? like throw it on a bonfire for instance.

Get a mini amp, for your headphones. + Get some headphones that arnt the ones made from recycled toilet paper that come free with the ipod.

Ipods are quiet, get used to it. One of the major let downs of ipods.

You could increase the track volume in itunes

You will notice big difference with replacement head phones TBH!
