widetrack or standard on mk1 16v

Read a few posts and seen several cars that have done the widetrack/ williams front suspension onto normal mk1 16v`s.

Just wondering on the advantages of this if your doing a track focused car as surely having the larger negative camber on the standard mk1 is better?

the wider track and the damper etc choice means the car handles much better IMO

Its nnot just to do with the cmaber the better suspension
