2002 172
Hi all.
I have a 2002 172 and am having issues with the dashboard displays.
The most important one is the fuel gauge.
The first time that I hit the red zone on the fuel gauge (shortly after buying the car) and went to fill it up, I could only get about 20 litres in it!
I also noticed that the fuel gauge will not got all the way up to full.
I have just replaced the fuel pump /sender unit ( oh, fun, fun, fun!) as it was suggested that the float might have a pinhole in it but, no change.
If I can get the photos up, they show the results of a self diagnostic test I have just completed.
The fuel gauge does not got all the way up and goes WAY past empty.
Could some numpty have had the gauges out at some point and simply put the needle back in the wrong position?
Also, my digital display is unreadable.
I can't even guesstimate the mileage to empty!
Any thoughts would be welcome.
