Wifi question

Im trying to get on a open wifi network accross my road but not having much luck. Does anyone know how much power in mw a normal wi-fi card produces?? and also if you can buy an amp to give them more power??

Even if its a Open Network. They may have Access Control turned on. Where unless your MAC code of your network card matches you wont get access

Looks like im gonna run a wi-fi card at 0.5w now from an aerial on the roof. Its gonna be intresting lol

Tbh the network im trying to get belongs to a bar which has free wi-fi in for the public :p - just a shame its a little bit further away than I want it to. There is someone accross the road but its wep enabled, not on all the time etc :/
 
Get a program called 'Network Stumbler' and check what the Signal is on the 'Pub' wifi router. if it gets to above 30% you will be able to connect to it.So just move ur wifi card about put it in side a can do any thing :)
