Your misunderstanding the software bully.

You download the app to your PC, you run the software and add the media directories to the program (so it knows where to look), you then goto your Wii, and type in the mycast.orb.com address and it will play your tunes and videos etc.

No issues with your Wii at all.

Sorry i am a bit dumb with stuff like this.

So i run it and add ie my Itunes Music directory to it?

Then i can play my music through my telly?

For the same reason that you choose to use CaPiTaL letters in the wrong places.

It's not just music, it's videos, photos and any other multimedia that's supported via iTunes/Orb. In effect turning your Wii into a wireless hub - so for example streaming movies to your TV from your PC - not sure if this is true for .Xvis/Divx tho, until I try it myself.

Also if you happen to have a decent AV setup streaming music into your lounge, why not?

Strikes me as an excellent FREE addition to an already good console :)

If it uses Itunes then NO, as that only plays what quicktime plays you would need to convert

Nice idea but format support is an issue and makes it pointless IMO after the novelty has worn off

My PC is in the office in my house. My telly is in the lounge. Most of my MP3's are on my PC.

Problem solved????

Why is everyone dissing it, its a good idea.

i'd say most peoples home cinema sound is better than their pc speakers.

Theres the point

Yep, thats another reason. I, unlike lots of young geeks on here, live in a house.....with different rooms. I dont live in my bedroom with posters of semi naked women on the wall, abusing myself whilst listening to my MP3's on my PC.

I am normal.

Loaded the ORB one, its great.

i live in a house too... but my computer is in the living room with my tv....

i also have airport express for my wireless internet... which plays all my music wirelessly anyway as well as printing wirelessly. so for me, its pointless.... more hassle than its worth, with airport, i can play music from any pc/mac.laptop in the house to whatever stereo i wish.

I also.... am normal...

As for watching videos, my mac screen is by far big enough for me to enjoy any self abusing material in large enough HD. ;)

Lol.

I just dont like having a pc in my lounge. Until they build one which will fit in with the rest of the room.

As for hassle, it took me 10 mins to load and setup.........and i am a technical dimwit.

Sounds good through the surround sound speakers, worth a go if you dont live in your bedroom at mummy and daddy's ;-)
