Will 14" steel wheels fit on a 172?

im selling my standard 16's of my phase 2 172 and may have a buyer problem is it will be a short while before i can get the wheels that i am replacing them with as i need to add a bit of money to get them

question is would 14" steelies fit my motor in the mean time or would it be tight with the brakes i think they are 280mm discs which is just over 11" so i would have thought it would be ok, anyone tried and tested it??

Yup sure would be, my megane uses 172 brakes and has 15s!
