Will a 1.4e head fit a 1.6e bottom end

Will a Phase1 1.4e head fit the bottom end of a 1.6e?.

Afaik the 1.6e is just a bored out 1.4.

So does that mean a 1.6 bottom end will fit straight in, slap the 1.4 head on and away you go?.

Anyone got any ideas? Cheers.

Yes, i believe it will.

However, i cant see much point since the 1.6s are only 10bhp more. Unless youre wanting to get the MPI setup or will get it done really cheap i would spend the cash elsewhere...i.e headwork/cam/1.8 TB

Well my bottom end needs rebuilding idealy and a friend of a friend is a dab hand with a set of spanners so I was looking at my options.

Plus with my decat and panel filter it would be a laugh []
