will a jubilee clip be ok

ive asked reno and they think it will be! it hasnt lost much greece.. only bit that scares me is the fact that the screw might get in the way?????!!

im sure others have had this problem - clip broke on the cv boot

clip should arrive tomorrow! nobody seemed to sell them!!

bought a 85mm to 100mm clip!

Top it up with grease first. A jubilee clip will be fine.

there size 4 85mm - 100mm :_ the only size i can find to be honest

Mine didnt hold the grease in coz it slightly pinched the boot so when it was watery it just came out.

And clean the hub where the boot slips over, otherwise it will probably just slip off on full lock.

tried a tie wrap and that just slipped off! hence going for jubilee clips!

Cable ties are no use for nothing. Jubilee them on very tight and make sure they dont come off on full lock. Jack the car up and spin the wheel to make sure it isnt fouling on anything.

It should work, just keep a close eye on it for anything coming the bigger end. Maybe a bit of sealant under the lip if you have any?

thanks guys for your help your all stars! did it last night!! ended up cutting a 85mm - 100mm jubilee clip down as the excess was sticking out a tad! nice neat fit!

thanks again! stayed on so far cant see any reason why it wont stay on!
