Will a Mk2 172 Steering Wheel fit my Mk1 172?

Just wondered if it is possible to fit a Mk2 172 wheel and airbag to my Mk1 172?

I had a Mk2 172 item on my old Dynamique which i fitted and the connections look the same as i have now on my Mk1 172.

Could someone clear this up for me?

and even if it does add character to my car, it's outweighed by all the people saying "this car's immaculate.....oh.....apart from the wheel looks bummed."
