Will a shock affect the height of the rear?

Probably a daft question.

My 172 has done 54k and is sometimes higher on one side than the other. The shocks aren't leaking but i'm guessing they'll be tired.

Could a sticky shock seize and cause one side to sit higher than the other or is there just not enough strength in them?

a severely seized one could theoretically. but you would know if a shock was that seized as the suspension wouldn't move on that corner whatsoever. Clios do tend to lean to one side slightly though.
