Williams 0001 may be dead after all

Ive just contacted an industry insider and he didnt know what had happened to 0001, but did say he was sure 0001 was RIGHT HAND DRIVE. But when i went to the Williams factory it is clearly left hand drive. I do beleive what Williams told me. This is getting very confusing. Some one posted on clio-williams.com and said that Top Gear showed a video of a mangled 0001 and also showed the plaque. Anyone know if this is true? I also think that Bernard Dudot from Renault may own number 0003 or 0004, or has done in the past.

Frank Williams had 0001 and he wrote it off!!!

Ive got a downloaded clip of Top Gear that tells you Frank Williams wrote it off.

Ive seen it on tv where they had a williams on the track dunno which one, but he did mention that 0001 was written off by Frank Williams.

I thought he crashed in the 80s and hasnt been able to drive since ???? this would mean he couldnt have written off the first williams as they werent made then:confused:

I explained the whole Frank Williams thing a couple of months ago, Frank cant drive, he can barely smile. He should have died but because of his physical strenth at the time he survived. And all this happened in 1986 or 88, cant remember. But he certainly was no where near the PROTOTYPE Williams that was written off!

I thought the RHD cars were numbered separately, so there was a 0001 LHD and RHD
