williams/16v suspension problems :(

For quite a long time now there has been a knocking noise coming from underneath the car at the front, especially the passenger side

every single bump i go over there is a knocking noise, so obviously i think it is a front suspension problem, but cant source where the noise is coming from

Both front springs have been recently replaced so i know its not them and i dont think its the struts as there is no visable signs of leakage

so was wandering could it be the top mounts that need replacing?

would this solve my problem?

any help or personal experiance would be much appreciated

check your bottem balljoints for play.the top shocker top bearings seize and break up as well.

Similar problem........ My suspension seems so stiff! I feel every lil bump on the road, The car isnt lowered so was wondering if maybe hed put stiffer shocks/ Springs on there or something? Or is the valver/Williams suspension hard anyway???

Also my car seems to sit Lower on the back driver side than the passenger side... fooked shock???

poss but its the torsion bars that really determines ride height.you could visually check your shockers for fluid leaks.

Richy can you hear a loud knocking noise though on yours?

on mine it sounds like someones kicking the floor

top mounts normally more of a clunking when turning not like a loud noise over bumps

hav u checked the bottom balljoint the anti roll bar mounts and the wishbone bushes

oh an valver suspension is really stiff anyway standard

check the outer anti roll bar links as well.there commen for snapping

Mines more of a BANG! but u could interpret it as a knocking i spode. Il have to get this checked out. Mind you though, it does seem really sitff at the back of the car to, when i go over drain covers i get a bang at front then the back. Thats why i thought stiff suspension.
