Williams ECU Pinout’s

  Evo MR FQ300 & Clio V6

Does anyone know the ECU pinouts on a Williams? Mine is a 3 but the 1 & 2s would probably all be the same. I need to find a speed signal for my sat nav and also pick up a positive voltage when in reverse - I will pick this up from the reverse light but is there anywhere near the dash I can get this from. Dont really want to run a wire from the boot to the dash if theres a easier way.

Thanks in advance,

Simon

I think you will be able to pick a speed signal up from the electrical connector on the speedo cable (dash end). Might be simpler than picking it up from the ECU. I am unsure which pin the speed signal is sent through I will try and find out.

Mechanical but with a speed sensor on the instrument panel end of the cable. This is a speed sensor for the injection and you could tap into it for the speed signal for your sat nav.You should be able to pick up the reverse light feed from the large block connector behind the n/s inner sill trim in the n/s/f footwell.

I guess I will try the dash method - Would a haynes manual help in any way with wire codes / posistion etc.??? I know it doesnt cover the Williams but does it cover the 1.8 16v and if so would the wiring be similar??

Paul if you can find out which pin to pick it up on that would be spot on!!

I need the Sat Nav as up here theres some nice roads to drive - problem is you keep going taking road after road and turn after turn and then when it gets dark you are lost :D should make it easier to find my way home!!

Thanks again for the pointers - anymore helpful info. just let me know.

Cheers, Simon
