Williams manifold on a valver

  valver
I've heard a couple of people talk about it. what are the differences between the two? And most importantly will it make it go any better?

Williams manifold is better for high-end torque.

Fitting it to a 1.8 which is weak at low revs isn't really a good idea as it'll make low rev driving even worse on it. Valver manifold is a better design anyway than the williams item for fitting to either.

O.k mate cheers for that............. and now for my next thread, how do you retract a bid on ebay! D'oh

I had a Valver one on my Williams, initially it felt good up to about 60 then after that it felt like the car had hit a wall and seemed to restrict the pull, I swapped mine back to the standard Willy one and was miles better top end, don't care what anyone says about the science, Valver manifold on my Williams wasn't any better and "felt" worse, people will disagree, but om MY car I personally feel its not worth swapping the two. Think gunnergibson had the same findings on his Hybrid.

It would be interesting for someone to try it out the other way around though? Although Personally I have no idea what the outcome will be, if you can afford it try it, if not don't bother

o.k. i've spoken to Nick a Hill Power, he says exactly the same as 'u33db', that it drains what little pull you have at the bottom end, and does not recommend it. he's going to sort me out with a four branch instead.

Cheers
