Williams servicing prices

Hi guys after a bit of advise, a guy I know who works at Renault said he could service my car as a homer on a Saturday at work. I was after a full service and changing the belts etc. He is offering;

Oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter, timing belt, alt belt, p/s steering belt (I thought the power steering was fed off the alt belt??) Water pump (wanted this done as it would be accessible with the timing belt off), change coolant, engine oil and gearbox oil.

This would all be done for £550 including labour, good :D or bad :dapprove: ??

Thanks

£250 for the cambelt to be done usually.
£50 for a pump
Coolent chnage say £35
Normal service say £100
Gearbox oil chnage £30

So its not a bad price realy.

Personally I'd get the cambelt and pump done and do the rest yourself is not difficult a bit tricy but top spec parts ie Millers gear oil etc rarther than the £20 stuff he will probably use is only about £120

  Trophy
PAS is powered by Alt belt.
But still not a bad price, get him to change the cambelt tensioner/pulley as well.

IIRC Cambelt is approx £137 plus VAT from BB, and other Renault tuners shouldn't be more. Waterpump can be as expensive if you forget your locking wheel nut key like I did.

Would suggets you take it to one of the main Renault tuners who see these cars all the time rather than a Renault garage. Most of the parts can be got from GSF and then its just labour. And if you buy your own parts/oil etc you know exactly what should be going in.

You could even do the majority yourself like fluid changes etc and leave the harder stuff like cambelt and waterpump to whoever you take it to.
