Williams shower

Not been in my car since Sunday night, until this morning when travelling to work.



I was changing gear when a load of water came in from the roof. Not best impressed.

The centre console next to the sunroof appears to be full of water, as every corner taken a jet of water came out.



Anyone else had this problem?

Very common problem im afraid. Its either coming in through the sunroof or at the base of the aerial. Search the numerous threads for some more info.

Yeh, i used to get a cold shower in the mornings.

The sunroof has guttering which drains excess water to the side of the car. sometimes these gutterings get blocked. Or it could be grit/dirt on the seal. Best thing to do one Sunday is take the sunroof apart, give it all a good clean, especially the seal. When the whole things off the car you will see where the guttering is, make sure its all un-blocked and re-assemble the sunroof with loads of greese etc. I doubt you will be using your sunroof over the wet season anyway so dont hold back on the greese. That should sort the problem.

No it was only the williams 3 that had them. It had more eletrical toys then the 1s and 2s as well.

Done a search for previous posts - god I didnt know it was such a common problem. Going to invetigate the ariel mounting this weekend. Lets hope its not the sunroof.

Anyway, my friend had the same problem, on a valver, it was the sunroof leaking in, but was easily fixed using some silicone sealent

Even had a vibrator in the glove box. In williams blue, with Franks signature down the side

my 16v leaked the other day but it hasnt done it since, im going to check the guttering/seal !

definatly the ariel thats leaking, but i wanted the willy 3, sunroof or no sunroof - not really bothered. Didnt know the willy 2s came with electrical mirrors though !
