i am buying a williams engine with a cracked sump. it got cracked while putting it on the pickup truck as it was crashed. just need to sort out a sump but dont want to be paying like £200+ for one though!
Ok, i just meant that material itself can be welded... but im sure you know your mate better than i do.
Never been on a quarter with Clio, but ive blown off Civic Type-R and 190hp A4 quattro with it, from a standing traffic light start (and few miles of motorway after that) . And the Civic was one i used to own and hit 14.7 with that...
Oh and im experiencing my first problems with the engine now, and its been run 30k miles after it was build (to 186hp) and seems like the engine itself isnt causing the problems... but error in its cambelt change caused it to blew. So i think you can tune F7R quite much and still have a reliable motor.
nice one mate i think that i am going to do a bit of work to my F7R. what have you had done? nice to see its fairly reliable to. i am also going to do a full rebuild as well just to be sure. just got to sort out a sump!
Yup mate, its nice to blow off todays GTIs with a ten year old bucket...
My engine had complete rebuild and after that bit of a headwork by rally specialist, forged pistons, fast road cams, chip, supersprint manifold and cat-back. And got dyno tested 186hp/220Nm (calculate Lbs yourself ) BUT restrictive parts in my combination is chip and a manifold. Mate of mine has programmable chip, standard valver manifold in F7R ,headwork and pistons and STANDARD WILLY CAMS. And he got 180 hp with his combination... So i think the biggest restrictive thing is my chip. It is just "plug and play" Elia, and my mate has programmable Unichip. So thats the one i should invest to get the power off from my cams. (well if my engine will ever be back together )
nice one mate i will be getting a programable ecu then to get the best from it. just put my valver engine back together today after not driving it fro about 4 months and god it feels fast!!! cant wait to get the willy lump!
