Window 7 strater with firefox?

Alright lads,

My mums just bought a wee HP netbook which has windows 7 starter installed. Im not a huge fan of using windows explorer for internet browsing. So tyring to download firefox for her to use.

Problem is any version I download no matter if its from the firsfox site or not wont open. Double click on the setup icon and its comes up saying "file corrupt" the same happens with google chrome. Any ideas?

try running the setup as an administrator

yep there only one account which is mums (administrator)

right click on the file and it should say run as administrator.

Download on your PC and USB stick it over to the netbook?

Is your OS 32bit or 64bit? Have you made sure you're downloading the correct one for your windows?

Need to have a look mate. As said its my mums netbook, I was only on it for 5 mons to see if I could help.
