window streaking

  Ultra Red Megane 225
Every time i clean my car i get annoyed with streaky windows.

The windows are cleaned with auto glym fast glass and a microfibre towel, but as soon as I wind the window down and the up again (usually some time after cleaning) I am left with streaks on the windows. Not water streaks but almost greasy marks, as if there is something ingrained into the strip at the bottom of the window.

Can I do anything to cure this?

This annoys me too, enough to be annoyed when a window must be opened, i usually avoid it til the car is dirty again lol.

i use AG fast flas and AG glass polish and still get these inside, my back windows used to look like net curtains, but not they are super shiney but i still get streakage on the windscreens ( front and back) i'm not sure if they are out side or perhaps condensation runn on the inside, must polish inside and see if that helps.

if you try the glass polich, buy AG muper care at the same time, as the polish really stains the rubber, but if you go over it withthe bumper cair its back to black really quickly and its quite long lasting
ive been told to use the bumper care first then if i get any polish on the rubbers it should wipe off withough staining, but i dunno might try that onan inconspicuous area of the car.

Try poping out rubber window strip and cleaning, always dirty underneath/inside this dosent help. Carefully make sure inside the rubber seal clean, then remove any from top of door(when rubber removed) . This will help stop water on windows becoming DIRTY smears when dried. As 4 the water marks im not sure I use auto glym polish and have same problem only worse when parked at home near a tree and sappy stuff gets on windows and when their wound down it leaves sticky smeary mess on the windows and in rubber seal at bottom of window.....
