Window Tints - Yay or nay?

A girl at work has had it done on her Type R and I think it looks really nice, was thinking of having mine done as the place she had it done did a really good job. They're still legal, and I thought it would suit my car, plus people wont be able to see in as easy! What do you think? is it chavvy??

I would have said no to all tints, but I bought my car with them on (factory fitted) and I think the car looks wrong without them now.

Personal taste really, but just don't go limo dark!

I wouldn't go too dark as I still want it to be legal, my mates don't look too dark, just right, I don't like the really dark ones either.

£150 sounds good, cost me £200, go for it, not too dark, but you can always take em off if ya change ya mind.

^^ that looks spot on, i've got factory fitted tints on mine, the darkest renault do, wich is very light still!! Anything more and you start looking like a barry Especially if it's in an ancient fiesta/escort complete with air bubbles and rips....mmmmmmmmmmm

Looking at that I think mines been done, it definetly is darker than my old dynamique was looks very similar to that.

I quite like tints though I do agree some can look far too dark. I think Brad182's there look great. I think they probably look darker than they are as they are against a light colour. Don't think I'd go any darker than that.

i like the trophy and the yellow ones, dark enough to look mint but not 2 much.

I had darker tints on the back to the front but not by much. They look pretty dark but maybe its because the car is white. Stands out more

Don't get the rear screen done, it's a pain in the arse for night driving.

I've got front done to legal limit and rear quarters on 5%. I did have the rear screen done at 5% too, but as I said it was a pain in the arse.

On my black 1.2 I had limo black, they looked good (or so i though at the time) but at night time your literally looking for car headlights as thats all you can make out lol

Had the medium tint done on the BMW and while it looked ok, the police didn't like it all that much.
