windows vista problem,

Vista decided to be a c**t so i had to re-install on the d drive as well as the c drive. My aim was once i got it working its erase the d drive version. (the c: version wont load. It just gets to boot screen and re starts)

Now both are playing up and i can figure out for the life of me how to sort it.

Any help people?

c: version wont boot.
d: version will load but says the desktop folder is missing so cant load properly???

Try unplugging the C drive all together. Sometimes having two disks with an OS installed can cause boot problems.

Try easybcd it let you repair the boot manager an chosse Which partion to boot into

Format the whole drive and start again.

If you can upgrade to Windows 7, that would be your best bet
They failed on vista big time, but windows 7 is much improved.

You booting from the disc?

Make sure everything is backed up.
