When I have Firewall and auto updates disabled how can I stop getting the pop up ballon in the notification area telling me my Pc is broken.

I have been told this can be disabled?

i take it you have another firewall? There is a way to disable notifications but can't remember for the life of me!

You can change the setting to 'do not monitor firewall/auto updates' when you click on the little shield or something like that. Can't remember the specifics.

Never seen a message popup saying: "Your computer is broken" thats a new one

Isnt that a default message you get when you install windows ? along with the BSOD and the "You must reboot your computer"



Go into Security Center and change the firewall to "Do Not Monitor"

Right done it thanks.

Its basically when you disable the firewall and auto updates you get a balloon pop up which wont go away saying you Pc is not working properly or somthing, but its really anoying.

I did look on microsoft, but not hard enough it looks like
