Windscreen wiper rest position seems high *pics*

The stop / rest position on my windscreen wipers seem really high. Should they go lower than this?

Mine are just like that, annoying.

Unbolt them, take them off and put them in a better position? then bolt back together.

Mine were looking the same so I did this and job done

Yeah they're just on little gripper gears, easy enough job.

Tried to remove them, unscrewed the bolt but they would NO come off. How do you do it?
