Winter Prep

Car  LY 220 Trophy+IB PH1
Well it's starting to get colder and the night's slowly shorter. Obviously that time of the year when the white stuff falls is coming ! Has anybody else started considering the winter prep - tyre shopping, arch sealing etc

Paul

I've been shopping around for the right tyres at the right price.

Last year I had a 11 year old 206 GTi that was amazing in the snow, even with Summer Tyres on. Plus I didn't care about it, she was just a **** to be abused. But I don't want to push my luck this year in the 172. Lincolnshire will probably be very bad again and I live on a mahoooossive hill. I'll probably go with Nankook winter/snow tyres since even they will be better than my ContiSports.

Yeah I had a few hairy moments last year driving extremely cautious (Mainly cars coming onto roundabouts) but we got it really bad on the coast.

Think I might make a start on sealing the arches while I can still feel my fingers :rasp:

Any hint of snow and my car's going in the garage, I'm not even going to think about driving it!

forgive me to being stupid but sealing the arches? could you explain? my car is in the bodyshop having a whole new front end so when i get it back (next week) it would be good to prep it for the winter months
