wiper and auto light issues

Wonder if someone can help new to being a Clio owner. But found a few things that don't work. the first is the wiper. On the slow setting that your Supposed to be able to adjust works fine for 5 minutes then all of a sudden the wipers go mad back and forwards accrossed the screen. Wonder if it mite a be a relay or something like that?
The other problem was the auto lights. Work fine for a while but every now and again I turn the car on and they dnt work. Then after a few weeks they decide to come on again.
Not life or death problems but enough to get a bit annoying wondered if anyone knew

i have that problem with the wipers occasionly, its to do with the sensor on the windscreen or something.

about the lights, clios have a auto on function with the lights and if you flick them on and off twice when the engine is off it will beep and turn auto lights on or off, that might be whats happening with the lights pal

Is your windscreen dirty or steamed up? The sensor is at the top of the windscreen and if it thinks there is rain (which could be caused by dirt etc), it will obviously speed the wipers up ^^

Hmm its usually ok I changed the wipers to aero ones thinking about it I'm gonna check to see if they clear that
