wiping

got an '07 macbook given to me by a family member, its had some use, is full to the brim with music but i want to wipe it completely. only thing is, i dont have a OS or recovery disc. any idea's please? ive googled etc but maybe my searches are failing me.
i dont want to keep it btw, it'll be getting sold on as my vaio works perfectly, but would appreciate any help

Which OS is it? For Lion and onward there is a recovery partition, no disks required.

if not do do it efficiently, you need the discs.

hmmm, if im honest i wouldnt have a clue. i think its OSX, whichever one that is?

Yup you have OS X

Then you need to work out which version of OS X, im guessing its either Tiger or Leopard.

is there a way of finding that out? im trying to get a disc as i write this, just hope its the right one lol

Yes. Click the apple logo, then "About this mac"
