Wireless setup, please help...

Car  Less
basically just bought a second PC which is going upstairs. Got broadband at this (Downstairs) PC @ 2.2mbps. I've set up the wireless no probs and the up PC is connecting to the down PC, however I cannot for love nor money get the mother f**king ADSL router to connect to the internet! Even tho my DSL led's are all lit and the USB one saying that this comp is connected to the router... Been at this all night now and i'm going bald! Someone please help me lol!!

 :S :dapprove:

had this same problem, i just persevere, we made the miostake of gettin a BT router....lol

Having similar problems - got a Belkin thing and when we set up the Internet on the two PCs it crashed so I am back to the Internet on one PC!
Any advice please?

daz do you mean you cant get onto the adsl routers console to put in your isp connection details? same for you GR7?

i can get onto the router console home page via IE but whan I try to go to a web page it doesn't load up. If i try AOL it just says DNS server unreachable or unavailable!!?? Been onto the router tech support and AOL support, both stumped!

first thing is to get rid of AOL, its crap in its purest form mate!!

ermm as for the router stuff, does the install guide tell you to change any of the settings at all?

spent all night onto tech support now and seriously pissed off! Gone over and over everything mate with them and we can get the router connected to the internet in IE but it will not load any pages. All we can get is the router status/configuration page. :S

Have u checked if it has any logs about connecting to the internet? Sounds like a username/password problem for the ADSL line. The lights will light up as it detects the ADSL is there but it sometines doesn't authenticate. If thats not the case does it have a DHCP Server built in? U might need to set that and have ur PC's set to obtain IP automatically then it will give u all the correct settings.
