wiresless status option in vista help...

help please as i am not familier with vista.

Every time my mate opens her laptop she has to press Fn key and F1 to turn on wireless status.

On my XP machine wireless is activated as soon as it boots up.

How do I make vista the same?

There might actually be a proper button somewhere on the laptop, or some sort of switch.

Usually on the side or along the front of the laptop

Might even be a button above the keyboard for it..

My sony vaio has a little switch on the front to turn WLAN on and off

Sounds to me like a 3rd party app/switcher. Could be wrong but that's my first guess.
