wiring into cig lighter on 182 help?

ok i wired something into the cig lighter on my 182.

it all works fine, untill i turn the lights on then it does not work?

did i use the wrong wires??

Yeah, you've used the illumination wire instead of the power wire.

i tried to trace the wire so i didnt do this, but guessing i didnt trace very well.

blue is for the light, black is earth and the yellow is live from memory, i maybe wrong
