wiring kit Mk2 Ph2

Anyone know about runnin the wire from the battery through the engine bay for my amp on a clio mk2 ph2 cant see any holes like in me old mk1, its 4 gauge so whats my best way to do it, shall i drill a hole and where abouts?

Cut the grommet out a bit where the bonnet release cable is.

oh yeah i know what ya mean, didnt think bout that, i had to put a thin wire through for my head unit cause alpine need a feed straight from the batt but i just drilled one for that as it was only a thin wire! but dont really wanna drillone for the amp as its really thick! cheers

I ran mine straight under the car! it follows the brake lines all the way to the back, then goes behind the exhaust heat shield and up through a grommet in the spare wheel well.

As pete said, put it where the bonnet release cable goes - thats how ive done mine - running 4 guage btw.

ive found the bonnet realease cable but cant see anywhere or how i could fit the wire through there!some please help do u have to take it apart or sumat?

You have to take the grommet out a bit to cut a bigger hole for the power cable!

has anyone got a pic of when they have cut away from the bonnet release catch rubber thing so i can see what it looks like/how they have done it. Some one has gotta have!

i been to bass junkies an they have said to drill a hole (what they would do). I already done this to fit my alpine headunit wire from the battery so am gonna drill it bigger so it wil fit 4 guage through an put the grommet to stop water gettin in what bass junkies give me! Can someone give me opinions on this. Also this way i wont have to mess with the bonnet realease catch and damage it will i!

right, 1st off, again, neer follow the advice of bass junkies, they really are cowboys

to remove the grommet from the passenger footwell, you have to disconnect the bonnet release cable (make sure bonnet is open 1st) then feed the BR cable into the engine bay, slide off the rubber grommet and make an incision (drill or cut) big enough for the amp cable (i run 2awg in the end, so it does fit), refit everything, then feed the amp cable through the grommet into the engine bay

it is extremely easy to do

again, dont listen to cowboys either

ok cheers mate, that sorta makes sense, just hope my power lead will fit through as its 4 gauage, alot thicker. But thanks will have ago at it tonight if the rain stops!

i did mine on saturday the same way SPIREZ did it found that to be easyist way being it took me all of 5mins wen i did my last car (fiesta mk3) it took alot longer than that cheers SPIREZ
