Wiring new lights to sidelights

Hey, I'm trying to install footwell lights in my Mk2Ph2 clio. I've got the dash off and can see all the wires behind the steering wheel.

Can anyone tell me which wires (or colours) i need to connect my lights to to have them turn on with the sidelights?

Connect them to the live that goes to the light in the cigarette lighter surround

I'm not even 100% sure my surround turns on but i'll test it and see.

Is it just me or do the haynes manual wiring diagrams seem to have all the wire colours labelled wrong?
