Wonky Renault Sport badge

  320d M Sport

Hmm, i think theyve got holes behind... thats why i cant understand how it could be wonky?? Everyone whos seen my car reckons its out...... Any more opinions before I contact Reno??

Wouldnt want you to pull it off and find holes but the rest of the range no longer has a badge there so I would have thought there wouldnt be any ?

Spirit level on top would be the best way to check for sure.

its not straight - i noticed that at the meet we had! but I am a bit weird at noticing stuff like that - and usually get shouted at LOL

Does the bottom edge of the boot slope ever so slightly up to the left? If so, it could be that the badges run parallel to the line of the boot edge!

Perhaps I should have said bottom edge of the hatchback bit that lifts up, not the boot!

its a tad hard to see in that pic but it (the badge) seems to slope form left to right downwards... its a trivial thing thats starting to pish me off a bit now!

one or both of the badges are definately wonky

if you look at the car its definately looks out, pauls looked fine on thursday at the petrol station

its french though what dya expect the badge fitter was probably off eatin garlic or summat instead of fittin badges proper

Hi Gaz2130,

Seems to be a mixed bag on this one. My 172 is an Aug/Sept 2002 and as you can see above both Renault & Sport badges were stuck on (lack of holes)! I have seen other posts saying that the Clio badge is also stuck on but in my case is pinned ...weird ;)

paddy,

Picked up my new 172 from the dealer last tues. asked them to remove the "Sport" badge and its fine. No holes behind it. :)

By the way, im loving the car more and more everyday. it seems to impress me the more i drive it. no rattles and squeaks just yet.

But i am thinking of changing the 2.0 silver badges on the sides.... anybody done this and wot have they replaced them with??

The SPORT badge seems to run parallel with the bottom edge of hatch lid but the RENAULT badge doesnt appear to be dead straight. Does it look slightly curved to anyone? I held a ruler up to the bottom line of the badge and either the ULT is straight and RENA slopes up ever so slightly to the left or RENA is straight and ULT slopes ever so slightly upwards to the right.

Try it!!
