Wont idle at all.

The car drive completely fine, hot or cold.
Put my foot down and it takes off with no problems,

BUT

When I come to a stop and press the clutch in the revs drop as normal but it cuts straight out like I've turned the car off :/

Any one had similar problem or heard of any thing like this ?

The car is a ph2 cup.

i had a 106. i know they are completly diffrent cars but it done the exact same as this. all i had to do was take the idle control valve off. spray it with maintenance spray gave it a clean. cleaned where it fitted popped it back in and it ran sweet as a nut. hope this helps

Assuming its a cabled throttle body and not steppper actuated then as above, IACV fault/fouled up.

Had a mk3 golf gti (dont laugh) that did this i cleaned out the thottle body and it was fine after that

Doesn't have a MAF - It'll deffo be TB/IACV related

Ahh yeah, the mk3 GTi, known for not being able to pull a greased stick out of a dogs arse.
