Wont Start!!

My mk1 1996(P reg) 1.4 RT, wont start , we got it to go on the jumpstart but would work normally, all the electrics work so could be starter?

Anyone had the same problem, or any advice u could give?:approve:

Try taking the spade connector off the back, cleaning it with a bit of sandpaper, then connecting it back up.

is it easy to get to the starter motor, cus neither me nor my dad are hardly mechanics

Neither am i believe me but once u know where it is it's fine. If you have a haynes manual, try looking in there if not, mine is near the bottom of the engine, just behind my air filter. Not a great description but the best i can do, i just feel 4 it!!

i had the same problem mate, put a jump lead on the - of the batt and to the engine, if it works its your earth strap either from the batt to the body work or from the body work to the gear box also any one know where i can get a front pipe from for a 1.2 8V clio mark 1 phas 3?? its just snapped
