Working speedo on cup WITHOUT gearbox

  172 cup TT
bit of a Q for the pro's here...

How would you get a speedo working on a 172 cup IF you couldnt use the speedo drive hole on the Gbox?... Is it possible to nick parts of the ABS from a FF172 and get a reading somehow from there?

Already had a chat with MattB who has given some good advice (thanks).. just seeing if anyone else has any views.

Thanks

It would probably be easier to source an aftermarket wave pulse generator kit that you could fit to an output shaft, then wire it up/calibrate it to the original speedo wiring?.

blimey a "wave pulse generator kit" eh.... ok thanks, i'll look into that route too... If anyone else has any ideas then plz say :).. thanks Dan thanks Mark..

There a few ways round it.

1) use a full fat 172 front hub with an ABS ring on the driveshafts with the same amount of teeth as the speedio drive has (I've got the figures somehwere for how many teeth you need)

2) Stick an ABS system in there

3 one of those stand alone speedo stsems works of the driveshafst etc.
