One of the RB Young Driver academy.

Really should go this next year, given it's pittence to get in. I guess what we see ther is standard attendance for non-F1/BTCC/Superbikes/Moto races in the UK

The fact that it was quiet made it more enjoyable IMO. No crowds and no queues meant that you could pretty much see or do what you wanted at any time. My only criticism was there wasn't enough to entertain all day and a smaller venue would've suited it better.

Did they use the full GP circuit?
If so, yeah, I bet it was like a ghost town! The International loop would be more than enough for most series. Hell, BTCC stick to the National, tiny track.

No, they were using a smaller circuit as the cars were lapping pretty frequently. I'd imagine Donington or Oulton would be much better though as the entertainment wouldn't look so spread-out.

1) According to the website they DID use the full GP circuit. Makes sense for the RS01 & WSR cars, sod sending Clio's around that though lol.
You're right though, a smaller venue would have helped it look less sparse, they used to use Donnington anyway.
2) RE: RBR driver...

They used the full GP circuit as I drove round it 4 times on Sunday on the Parade Laps.
I think the reason it was so quiet was that it had been absent from the calendar over the last few years and the introduction on paying for tickets.
Only £12 for full weekends racing tho.

The collectors stand was full of the more exotic of the Renaultsport and Renault Family.
Nice to be at a show that does not have 1000 Clio 182/172s all with the same mods and stupid stickers plastered over them.
As I feel too much of the same car puts you off looking at them.

To be on the stand graced by some very rare renaults R5 maxi turbos, Megane R26Rs, Clio V6's and some Renault sport Spiders was awesome.
Even better I was the only R27 on the stand :smile:.
Great work by the Renault Sport Owners Club and fantastic to get a Cleaning Kit as a freebie.
Was awesome to drive on the parade laps too.

@Lemon Head nice talking too you too dude.
Will see you at CSS next year.

Really good weekend but freezing on Saturday.
It was nice not to have all the chavs there who just went last time because it was free.
Silverstone is too big IMO for this event not enough going on to fill the place.
I got a few photos but none of the racing as I could not be bothered taking my SLR.
