Worn recaros help!

  Clio R27 F1
Can anybody help me, this is the state of my recaros and although they are still totally functional I'm in desperate need to get them repaired. I'm in Sunderland but would travel a little, for the right price obviously!!

Do you have a trimmer local to you ? I had a set like this & Renault wanted a small fortune for new covers , I got the sides retrimed in leather for £250 left the middle section as is .

  Mint 1*2's for sale-
Sorry- this is in house- not repair kits.
For that seat its around £250/275 & need the car for 3 days.

The funniest thing about about these chairs isn't that Renault didn't even attempt to wear test them. It's that after the buyers did it for them and revealed that they're not fit for purpose, they still couldn't be bothered to respecify the material. Laughable.

It's a real shame. They are good seats. The only problem with them in Clio fitment is that Renault chose to have them trimmed in tissue paper.

I agree they should have sorted them out after the complaints started coming in... but ultimately isn't it Recaro's fault? They make the seats after all.

Have you got any pictures of them mate?

Since Renault sold the car, it was their responsibility to ensure the seats were fit for purpose. They are available from other OEMs in far more rugged trim options.

I am lucky in having a very good & helpful trimmer so left it to him but i would say it was close to the original not black but more of a anthracite / smoke grey . I only had the front seats done so left the rears standard , you could use other materials or cloth but you need to find a good trimmer & if possible see some of there work . The chap i use has done loads of clio 2 seats when the airbags go off & you can not tell when he has done his work .

Sorry been away for a few days, I was toying with the idea of switching to leather panels but was just concerned about how it would look in the cockpit with rear seats cloth and door cards etc cloth. I wonder why they wear so easily! Mind having said that I don't think I've gave a lift to a single person who hasn't commented about the dead leg they received on the way in!

Ive just replaced the entire seat base with a new one myself. I think Ill send off the old worn one to get the side bolsters retrimmed in leather and see what it comes back like.

In the mean time ill just keep hassling my passengers to jump over the seat when getting in

Agree, the Edge job looks fantastic, just what I want. A bloody shame then that they're in Rugby and I'm a million miles away in Plymouth! Has anybody any idea if there is anybody offering a similar service in the south west? Please.

  A special one.
I might send my PH1 seats to Edge and see what they can do.

I want the foam sorting out in the side bolsters and the stitching is starting to come away on the passenger seat.

These where trimmed by them for a member on here, bloody lovely job.

I did an apprenticeship at Land Rover back in the 80's and they were doing tests on Recaro seats for wear with a machine that had a simulated butt getting in and out the car, back then they rejected the seats as the material didn't stand up very well!

Leather trimmed seats look awesome!

They look amazing. I'd seriously consider getting that done down the line if my current ones wear again.

What did you get done for that price?

I didn't pay but full interior including door cards and steering wheel and gear gaitor.
