The belts only done about 4k or so. This wont be a pulley thats wearing out will it? Cant understand why all of a sudden its making a noise. Crap weather at the mo so could this be a possible cause of it slipping? Dont want the aux belt to come off and take the cam belt with it thus the engine

Faxo Car RB 182 Dec 3, 2006 #5 Test it by before you start the car, spray some WD40 on the belt, then turn it over like normal, and see if it stops the noise

A Andyman Car Ph1 Dec 4, 2006 #7 Il try squirting WD40 on it first and try that. Main concern iv got is if one of the pulleys is wearing out or cracked

A Andyman Car Ph1 Dec 4, 2006 #9 Its been ok the 4k+ ive clocked up on the new belt plus its only on initial starting up. Roads up here are like a river just now with all this rain so not sure if this will have anything to do with it
