Worth a Remap on a 182?

Hi guys, been toying with the idea of getting the 182 remapped (Probably at RS Tuning in Leeds as its only 15 mins away)

Not sure about the benefits though, as its not exactly £50 lol

Anyone had theirs done?

Would be interested in hearing about the effects after its been done and of any possible problems etc.

Is it worth it?!? :S

Thanks guys

in a word yes. I had mine done and you do notice the difference, its a really good upgrade for not too much money.

Good stuff mate, do you notice more power at lower revs, rather than having to thrash the thing before anything happens? lol
If this is the main thing you are wanting i would recommend the RSTuner as this is what it has achieved on mine :)

Is it fairly easy to use mate, ime not mega computer literate? lol

So yours has more power lower down now, rather than the the 5K explosion?

Price? :)
Very easy to do, to be extra safe i always connect my battery to a charger when uploading/downloading but not many go that far. You need a windows laptop to do it too.

With the rstuner map on you get more power lower down but still get a little 5k kick.

I paid £90 for a second hand one, then 50€ to unlock it. So in theory you could buy one, unlock it and sell it for what you paid giving you a remap for 50€. Its worth keeping it though just for its diagnostic tools.

If you buy one and need a hand then give me a shout.

Couldn't recommend the RSTuner enough. I used a mates unit, so it only cost me 40 euros for the license.
Noticeable difference, and the fuel economy is loads better too!

Nice one mate, ime seriously thinking about doing it, as ime wanting abit more power low down, sounds like this is what Ime after.

Also handy for getting rid of fault codes etc.

Cheers mate, if I get one ile give you a shoult to show me the ropes when your free.

Yes it is, check on the stock availability though as they are usually out of stock and sell out quick when they are in stock. Easier and quicker to buy a used one tbh

I would say there is a little difference lower revs not too much though. Though the 5k kick is a lot more responsive and you can rev higher before the shift light comes on.

Depends on your driving style of course but having a re-map can help your mpg, don't ask me how its just what iv heard im sure someone on here knows the technicalities of it all.
I havn't noticed it much but i don't go on long drives much to find out.

Cheers lads. I olny drive round town really, no m-way driving and ime only gettin about 22mpg.

Full £50 tank - BANG its gone in 220 miles. Lovely stuff lol

Jesus, i drive around town a lot and still average 30, not like fax is congested or anything.

Haha god knows. Seriously I think it must be broken. Although Halifax is just one big hill (Jenic will back me up lol)

I used to get about £70 miles from a tenner in my Saxo VTR and now I get about 50 or so miles in the Clio.

Think I need a diesel

Slightly off topic, just been to the garage to check my tire pressures.

24 psi on the fronts.

God damm you tire fitting company

Thought my powersteering was cumming over all French. lol
