Worth uprating the rear brakes?

  53 Clio's & counting
Iv always been under the impression with Clio's that its not worth doing this, as the rear end is so light, and as the rears barely do anything anyway.

Any track go'ers ever had any problems with rear brakesand upgraded?

Thanks :)

For a road car that sees the track sometimes, no. The problem with throwing harder pads on the rear is with them doing so little anyway, they dont get anywhere near hot enough to work on a daily basis and you'll just end up with shagged discs!

I haven't had any issues running DS2500s all round.

Mintex 1144's mate, have always found them to be very good, only a tint bit of fade after about 15 hard laps of Combe, but never very bad, just the pedal going a bit, still bite very well.

That's good to hear as ive been looking at them as there about half the price of ds2500s. Looks like ill be getting the 1144's then!

To put it in perspective, my old xr2 racing car had drums on the rears and it had no problem going from 100mph to 30mph in 70m, less then 200kg lighter than a 182 and pretty much same weight distribution.
