tried a dCi 100, but probably cos a bit smoother, quieter and refined, didnt really feel any quicker than 80.

out of curiosity, I asked about trade in on Mint 03 80 with 11K

£5000 to change!! - F**K OFF

I will shortly be spending £300 to £400 on an chip upgrade!

an Induction Kit (in post) and an upgrade will piss on it anyway cos noo one has got heavier gearbox.

ALSO Reno only claim 147 lb/ft for 100, superchips/tuning box 80 to 172lb/ft!!

vRS great car & v. quick but I dont like the body kit!

Also not group 3 insurance and 70mpg - both Essential when you do up to 700 miles a week and have a speeding ticket and a claim!

vRS is 106BHP/ton (assume actual 140BHP and 1310Kg)

vRS 190lb/ft per tonne (250lb/ft for typical PD130)



dCi 100 is 102BHP/tonne (980 kg)

dCi 100 is 175lb/ft per tonne (172lb/ft superchipped 80)



SLOWER YES, but not miles apart

an Induction kit might just close the gap!

Unless the vRS is chipped too!

Id be looking at about 7K to change and £100 a month EXTRA to run
