Ridden many drunken giraffes?
Seen a few, when you get to my age, well you know how it is.
Like the top of a welly boot...
Nearly pains me to see how all the other possible variables get ignored in these sorts of threads r.e. fact/opinion/comparison.
Tyres (type, width, sidewall stiffness, pressure, temperature, tread depth)
Wheel weight (unsprung mass etc)
Rolling diameter (17" wheels raise CofG a good 30mm or so relative to 15"s)
Someone even admitted their comparison was on lowering springs (straight away that means it is very likely camber angle has changed a little, the roll centre has moved, amount of body roll has changed not to mention the possibility of different spring rates)
Any of the above can have a bigger difference than the diameter of a wheel.
And with the most respect possible to Tony (for handling feedback I know who I'd trust out of a racing driver and someone who's had a 10min go in a mate's car on different wheels!) people also seem to forget (RainX thread springs to mind) that fast road/track/proper race cars are three massively different environments.
